Through the peeping hole [?]

WOW!!!
I think that that picture is AMAZING. What do you think?

While working on this picture, I didn't know what elements I should use, what parts of the pictures I should take, and what the outcome will be. Mrs. Ellman said that it was kinda like an Alice in Wonderland thing [hence the title that's similar to "Through the Looking Glass." Haha...]

There are many things of this picture I like.
First of all, I LOVE MY SHADOW. It doesn't even correspond with my body. I made it curved, kind of like pain in the stomach.
Next, I love the tree ALL THE WAY IN THE BACK OF THE SIDEWALK! I wonder why it's all the way back there... O-o...
Lastly, I love that there are 3 bodies in the picture... but can YOU find all of them?

I really had fun with this project. I feel that my creativity and "quick thinking" helped me on this one.
I hope you think the picture is amazing as I think it is.

Strike Three [But you're not out.]

Do you know what it is yet? Or what it will be?

I mean, I STILL don't know what it will be. I'm just winging it right now. But I'm really really excited about what the end picture will look like. I have a very very good feeling.[It's a better feeling than what I've been feeling...]

So what do you think it will look like? Tell me!!! Maybe I'll get some ideas. Haha.

Can You See It Yet?

 Oh look, there's another me?

What could the digital picture be???
Could it be a collaboration of all the pictures of me? Well then that would seem conceited... But haha, that would be cool.
I, myself, am still trying to figure out what I want to do, but I pretty much have an idea of what I want the finished picture to look like.

So now with two pictures, what do you think it will look like in the end?
Comment Moi :]

Let me see. What could it be?

This week's assignment is to digitally create a picture.

Maybe I'll use this picture as the background... It's a nice silhouette picture.
I'll layer another picture on there and call it finished! Haha. Just kidding.

But it's a mystery what I'll be doing with this picture to create a whole new picture. I like the tree silhouette.  I might only use that of the whole picture. In all truthness, I don't even know what the end result will be so it'll be a surprise for you and me :]

What do you think I should do? Leave a comment pour favor :D

12+ inches of Snow [Gasp]

As we all know, there was a wonderful snow day on Thursday, February 11, 2010. It was the first time in FOREVER that Texas got 6+ inches of snow. The weather channel said that we got 12.5 inches of snow total.
Seeing all the snow, it reminded me of Chicago. My mom was reminded, too, in many ways. On Friday, she got my brothers and me up from bed around 8 in the morning, got us all dressed and forced us outside to play in the snow before she went to work.
She was "young" again, hitting my older brother and I with snowballs, pulling my little brothers on the red sled, and burying me in snow. It was a very fun day, I must say. I wish the snow would've stayed longer.
A little later that day, I went into the backyard and just laid in the snow. It was very nice and relaxing, really.

On Sunday, it was the first day of Chinese New Year. It is now the Year of the Tiger!
Sunday was also Valentine's Day. I completely forgot about Valentine's Day. I've always thought it was a waste of a holiday, but that's my opinion. Haha.
When my dad, my little brothers, and I stopped by Mickey D's before going to Asia Times Square, I took a really cool picture of my dad's newspaper.
I just thought it was absolutely cool. It's not an original idea, but it's a cool idea.

I guess that's all I got for now :]
Thanks for stopping by.
Leave a comment s'il vous plait. ^-^

Ever been to the Mall?

Has anyone ever seen the mall parking lot empty???

Tuesday morning, Denny's was giving away free Grand Slams, but my brother and I were too late, so while driving around, we decided to stop by the mall to see what it's like without all the cars and people.
I thought it was the most amazing scene. Even when it's a holiday, there are cars in the mall, but it was COMPLETELY empty when we were there... well except for our car of course.

Technically, the mall picture wasn't taken in the weekend, but all the pictures I took over the weekend... well they weren't that great.

The photo above is from Asia Time Square. Chinese New Years is on Valentine's Day this year. That's awesome.

I don't feel like I've been taking good pictures lately, especially this weekend.
Well tell me how my lame-ish pictures are :]

Lookie, It's Me :]

T^T Why do I look so sad? Haha.

These self-portraits were taken yesterday. I got really bored at home and I didn't feel like doing homework.

Usually, my self-portraits are sad looking, so this isn't really a surprise. It's not that I'm a sad person. Believe me, I'm actually really hyper, but my self-portraits tend to look better then I'm not smiling.

I think black and white pictures are very beautiful, depending on what is being taken and how the contrast is. I had to fix the black and white levels on photoshop.

The first photo is funny to me because a picture of my parents back when they were in high school is behind the hand with the mirror that's showing my face. It was more like an accident of where the picture was taken, but it turned out alright.

What do you think of my pictures?
Are they alright? Do they need some work? What could I've done to make it better?

Please leave a comment :D

Silhouettes

Oooh, pretty :]

It took a while for me to get ideas of what silhouette pictures I could take. The sun was near sunset and the sky was absolutely beautiful. I got my little brother to jump really high from a table that I had set on the front lawn, and I was laying on the grass and took many pictures of him jumping. It wasn't until the near end that I got the picture of him in the air.
The flower silhouette was a happy accident. I just took a picture of it for fun, but when I uploaded it onto the computer, it looked usable and presentable.
I had put textures on both pictures. On the flower was bokeh, the other was Scratch the Surface #3. I got these textures from Shadow House Creations. I think that it's very nice that Jerry Jones, not the football person, would put these textures up for others to use on their creative pictures.

I think that I did pretty well on these pictures. I only wish that for my second silhouette picture that the houses and trees weren't there.

Thanks for viewing my blog and please leave a comment ^-^

White On White

Sarah Thomas. A very lovely model to have. :]

I've seen a white on white picture when I was a freshman that was taken by Ms. Taylor A. Brown. It was a very beautiful picture and I envied the simplicity of the picture. When I heard that we had to do a white on white picture, I was thinking of recreating the picture, but then I thought, "Why copy? I can think of something just as good."

Amazingly, this is the first picture that was snapped in the camera. Every other picture after that wasn't as great.
In photoshop, I fixed up the whites. I thought I was finished but Mrs. Ellman showed me this very cool site that had textures to layer onto pictures. I got the textures from Shadow House Creations. We experimented with some and got the picture! It was pretty cool.
It took me forever to figure out how to put on a water mark w/ Mrs. Ellman's help. Haha, I'm pretty slow.
Overall, I had a great time taking and editing this picture.
